Just as important as leading a child to make a profession of faith is the process of effectively discipling young believers. This process can begin long before a child accepts Christ as Savior. The childhood years are the prime time to develop a biblical worldview and instill the habits of prayer, worship, Bible reading, and so on.
TeamKID – A discipleship club (the KID in the name stands for "Kids In Discipleship"), TeamKID combines recreation activities, Bible story presentations, Bible verse memorization, and application to life. Children learn biblical principles and develop skills that will help them make wise decisions in life. Preschool editions and children’s editions are available.
Bible Skills, Drills, and Thrills – This is a discipling curriculum for grades 1-3 and grades 4-6, focused on developing skills in using and memorizing the Bible. Children learn to locate Bible books and passages, memorize verses, and increase their understanding of essential Bible truths. This curriculum can be used to prepare 4th-6th graders for the Church, Associational, and State Bible Drills held each spring.
I’m a Christian Now – These workbooks for children who have made a profession of faith help them to develop important habits of Bible reading, prayer, and Scripture memorization. They are designed to be used at home with minimal parent supervision. Leader resources are also available with plans for a four-week new Christian’s class plus bonus sessions on worship, stewardship, missions, and Baptist history and beliefs (for a total of 8 weeks).

All of these materials are published by LifeWay Christian Resources, the publishing entity of the Southern Baptist Convention. Therefore, Baptist churches can have confidence that the materials being used to disciple their children are in line with Baptist doctrine and practice, and have been written by leaders who actually teach in the age group for whom they write.
