Preschoolers should stay in the same class until the next Sunday School year. Babies and ones may be grouped according to developmental level rather than age, but should not be moved more than once during a year. Preschool classes (birth –kindergarten) are organized using the same criteria set by the local school system. For example, if the schools have a September 1 cut-off date for entry into kindergarten, all children in the three-year-old class should have reached their third birthday before September 1.
