This is the time during the session when the children and the teachers come together for group learning experiences. Having a successful group time means having a well-prepared teacher who has planned a variety of activities. These might include: conversation, music, games, pictures, prayer, Bible skills, and a Bible story.  Regardless of the size of the group, remember that preschoolers are active learners. Consider age and attention span when determining the length of group time. The following are suggested guidelines:

• three year olds                                     5-10 minutes
• four year olds                                      10-15 minutes
• five year olds or kindergarteners        15-20 minutes
