What is a Backyard Bible Club?
What is a Backyard Bible Club?

A Backyard Bible Club is Bible study taken outside the walls of the church. Intended for older preschoolers and children grades 1-6, the club is held in a casual neighborhood setting. Sessions last one to 1½ hours, and are targeted to youngsters with limited Bible knowledge and church experience. The purpose of a Backyard Bible Club is to reach children who are not likely to attend events held at the church. Possible locations include  grassy backyards, carports, parks, and multi-housing communities such as apartment complexes or mobile home parks. A Backyard Bible Club may meet on five consecutive days during the summer, one day a week for the whole summer, or weekly throughout the year.
