We have expanded this partnership to include New Brunswick (NB) and Prince Edward Island (PEI) in addition to Nova Scotia. The response to this partnership has been so great that many groups have begun to serve in NB and PEI. In Nova Scotia, you will find a postmodern culture that sees little relevance in the church. People are in desperate need of Bible-based, evangelistic churches. By 2020, the Canadian National Convention has a goal to see 50 healthy, cooperating, reproducing churches among the one million people of Nova Scotia.

Did you know that Canada is only 3% Evangelical?  Did you know that areas with ONLY 2% evangelical presence are considered to be an Unreached People Group?  That means Canada is ONLY 1% away from being considered and UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUP.  Volunteers are needed to partner in a wide variety of outreach ministries intended to show and share God's love in practical ways. Your church can do block parties, children's ministries, servant evangelism, campus ministries, prayerwalking, leadership training, and pastors and wives retreats. Long term volunteers are also needed. All of these ministries and many more are what it will take to introduce people to Jesus in this culture. Pray about how you can become involved in this critical evangelistic enterprise.

Team Leader & Team NEEDED for Fall 2014 Mission Trip

Dingwall and Ingonish are two towns in Canada that have lost ALL spiritual presence.  A team is needed to prayer walk and lay the ground work for a church plant in these areas where there is no church presence of any kind.  Consider being a team leader and/or part of a team that will work alongside our church planting strategist for Cape Britton and the Cabot Trail areas of Canada.  (Logistics have been worked out - You will fly into Halifax or Cape Britton, rent a vehicle for travel and transportation while in Canada, and stay in a host home that has been provided for you.)  This trip can be planned around your schedule during the months of September to November of 2014.

Contact Missions Mobilization at 803-227.6180 for more information.

Take an Atlantic Canada Vision Trip:

Travel to Atlantic Canada where you will be able to meet with our Atlantic Canada partners, tour several areas of potential church plant sites, and join in worship services. For more information, contact Tim Rice, Director of Missions Mobilization at 803-227-6179 or email timrice@scbaptist.org.

Summer Mission Opportunities are also available in Nova Scotia.

One of the French-speaking church planters in Dieppe, New Brunswick has developed a blog to promote praying for the Acadian people of Greater Moncton. This area is the tenth fastest growing metro area in Canada. Dieppe City, New Brunswick's fastest growing city, is within the Greater Moncton area.
