Every day of the week some member of the South Carolina Baptist Convention staff is in the field working. Whether it is filling a pulpit on a Sunday, leading a seminar on a Saturday, or doing a consultation during the weeknight, the work continues. To ensure effectiveness, the Mission Support Team works to provide the infrastructure to make the field service work possible.

While there are several groups within this team, one of the offices that relates directly with their churches and their staff members is the Office of Retirement and Insurance Services.  Other offices focus on the special projects assigned to the convention staff on behalf of the executive board and the messengers at the annual meeting.

Churches send in their contributions for the ministries that take place as a direct result of the Cooperative Program or other designated offerings, the Mission Support Team insures that these offerings are distributed as directed.

There are seminars and conferences held at the convention offices with the support of this team and the ongoing maintenance of the facilities are coordinated by the team.
