BCMissionary Update 2: South Asia

In BCM Missions, Collegiate, Evangelism, Missions
Grace Batton

Grace is interning with the communications group at the South Carolina Baptist Convention. She is a senior at USC studying public relations communication with a cognate in Spanish and business. During her free time she enjoys running, practicing photography, spending time with her husband Adam, and playing with her dog Chester.

Our four BCMissionaries serving in South Asia ask for prayers for health, team unity, for the last few weeks if the trip would to be spent wisely, and for them to disciple, equip, and encourage believers while also connecting non-believers with the church, and open hearts for those they share with and encouragement for the believers there to continue the ministry after they leave..

“…Being able to share the good news with people always leaves me filled up with joy because I know they heard the best news even if they did not accept Him right then. We have built some great relationships with residents here and it is exciting to see them passionate about learning more and having a desire to be challenged.”

“Every time we get to share the good news with someone, I see Him at work.”

“The best thing to see is some of the believers here be encouraged and trained on how to go out and share with people.”

They also report seeing believers that have never shared before go out and share the gospel for the first time after meeting us a couple of times.

Our BCMissionaries have also been learning more about God and have been drawing closer to Him.

“I have learned so much about myself, my personal walk with Him, and how to better serve Him through working here.”

“He’s been showing me how to trust in Him even when it’s hard.” said another student.

“Seeing some local believers getting a passion for making disciples is the best part of being here so far.”
