What Is the Association?

The Associations of our state are essential partners in the Experience Kingdom Life effort. These local autonomous groups of churches cooperate together to equip the local church in the furtherance of the Gospel. Each association has a Director of Missions that coordinates the work, bring the congregations together in collaborative mission endeavors and bolster fellowship and unity within the churches he serves.

Our office is a liaison between the Directors of Missions and the Executive Director of the South Carolina Baptist Convention. We assist the DoMs in leadership development and strategic planning within the association. While we are two separate entities, we are closely linked in our effort to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in our state, country and around the world.

By partnering together, the local Baptist association and the Cooperative Program have become special friends that continue to provide new opportunities for greater than ever mission support. For years Southern Baptists have used two avenues-the local Baptist association and the Cooperative Program as the primary channels for supporting our mission efforts. Yes, there are other methods and opportunities, but none surpass our "special friends." It's a good time to get reaquainted. Read More
Through the Association, churches join together to provide needs and volunteers for missions in our own part of South Carolina.
