How are your classes or small groups responding to the many employment issues facing famililes today?
During the past couple of months, I continue to find more and more classes and small groups developing strategies for dealing with the many employment issues facing familes today.
Some of these are born out of a class Bible study. Some are born out of a personal encounter with someone who is in danger of a home foreclosure. Others are born out of a church's proactive ministry development addressing the current economic realities. Regardless of the starting point, employment ministry may be one of the most timely opportunities for churches to show lost people the love of Jesus Christ in practical ways.
Check back here often to discover the ideas compiled from your responses, as well as others discovered as your South Carolina Baptist Convention staff seek practical ways to show God's love in practical ways. Here are some ideas you may want to consider:
Taylors First Baptist Church Employment Ministry Support (ESM)
Lancaster Second Baptist Church "Investing" in Strategic Areas
During the coming weeks, you can discover employment ministry ideas from churches throughout South Carolina. You can also share your ideas by emailing Belinda Jolley.
